Q: What is the difference between Plan5 and Plan6? A: Both Plan for the Series 3a and Plan5 for the Series5/Revo were written using the Psion OPL language. Plan for Nokia 9XXX, as well as Plan for Pocket PC and Windows were re-written from scratch using the C++ language, in order to take advantage of the facilities evailable in the latest operating systems. This means that although Plan is both functionally and visually similar to Plan5, internally it is very different. Some of the differences include:

A: Existing users of Plan or Plan5 for Psion machines can upgrade to Plan for use on a Nokia 9XXX for a reduced fee. See here. Users of Plan6 can upgrade to Plan for the Nokia 9XXX free of charge. |

Q: Is Plan compatible with Microsoft Project? A: Yes. You can transfer data between Plan and Microsoft project. In the case of the Nokia 9210 a PC based converter is provided which converts Microsoft Project files into Plan format. Plan on the Nokia 9XXX can also create MPX files which can be read into Microsoft Project. |
